Well done to 3rd and 4th class who received certificates today for their participation in the STEPS Young Engineers Award competition. This initiative encourages 3rd and 4th class pupils and their teachers to explore the world of engineering by developing an engineering project that would help improve their local community. The boys and girls have been working very hard on their projects over the last few weeks and came up with fantastic ideas including a school path, carpark, a robot litter machine and a camera to reduce littering. We had a visit from local engineer James Daly a few weeks ago who gave us an insight into the work of an engineer and gave us some helpful tips for our projects. Well done again to all the students and no doubt some promising engineers of the future
